Welcome to the Emerging Initiatives page for Cohort Detroit. Here, you'll find a collection of our newest programs and projects designed to foster growth, healing, community, and prophetic imagination within Detroit.
Each initiative reflects our commitment to empowering young adults through spiritual growth, incarnational ministry, and intercultural relationships.
Counseling
Christian young leaders in Detroit need increased access to quality counseling to process traumas and emotional obstacles, and we seek to provide Cohort Detroit participants and alumni with access to excellent counseling across the city.
Arts and Faith
Through this pilot initiative, we aim to cultivate a vibrant community of artists who deepen their faith and express their authentic identities through art. By combining scripture learning, prophetic imagination, and creative practice, we aim to grow in faith, confidence, and community.
Alumni Learning trips
In summer 2024, seven Cohort Detroit alumni travelled to Guatemala with seven Central American Sister Cohort alums to learn about incarnational ministry and build new friendships. Each year, we plan a learning trip like this. Stay tuned for our Summer 2025 opportunity!
