Our Counseling Initiative

Affordable Counseling for Christian Young Leaders in Detroit

At Cohort Detroit, we know that strong leaders need support for their mental and emotional health. This program is one way we’re making sure our leaders can heal, grow, and lead with strength and purpose.

Our Counseling Program connects current and former Cohort participants to trusted counselors who offer high-quality support at an affordable cost.

For Participants:

  • Eligibility:

    • Demonstrated financial need with no access to affordable counseling.

    • Current or past Cohort Detroit participant.

    • Commitment to attend 10 sessions (extension to 15 sessions if needed).

  • Cost:
    $15 per session copay for up to 10 sessions.

For Therapists:

  • Must hold one of the following certifications: LPC, LLP, LLPC, or MSW.

  • 5+ years of counseling or equivalent experience.

  • Specialized training/experience to meet specific client needs.
